This policy covers HypeBlitz, the iOS motivation app. We built HypeBlitz to keep as little of your data off your device as possible: hype sessions, goals, streaks, and reflections are personal, and they stay that way.
We don't collect anything. HypeBlitz has no accounts, no server, and no analytics pipeline. Your goals, sessions, streaks, and outcome check-ins are stored only on your device using Apple's on-device storage.
On-device AI. Hype sessions run through Apple Intelligence, on your phone. Nothing you say or type during a session is sent anywhere by default.
Microphone & speech recognition. HypeBlitz uses your microphone and on-device speech recognition to hear and transcribe your spoken responses during a session. Audio is processed on-device and not uploaded.
Calendar access. If you grant calendar access, HypeBlitz reads your upcoming events so it can prepare you for them and follow up afterward. Calendar data stays on your device and is never uploaded.
Notifications. HypeBlitz schedules local notifications, such as outcome check-in reminders after an event passes. These are generated and delivered entirely on-device.
Apple Watch. If you use the HypeBlitz Watch app, a small amount of data (your default persona and a cached quote) syncs directly between your iPhone and your Watch over WatchConnectivity. This never leaves your devices.
HypeBlitz lets you optionally connect your own API key for a third-party LLM (OpenAI-compatible) or premium text-to-speech service (such as ElevenLabs or Fish Audio) for enhanced voice quality. If you turn this on, the content of that session is sent directly to the service you chose, under that service's own privacy terms, not ours. This is off by default.
Since everything lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. You can revoke microphone, speech recognition, or calendar access anytime in your device's Settings → HypeBlitz, and disable notifications the same way.
